Supports Toronto Cultural Mingle Association — Backed by GTA Strategies

Toronto, ON – Mar 23, 2026

Aurora, ON – The Toronto Cultural Mingle Association (TCMA) is celebrating a significant milestone following the successful award of a $33,500 Seed Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), supporting its Intergenerational Dance and Cultural Wellness Program.

The six-month initiative promotes active living, cultural exchange, and social inclusion, bringing together seniors and youth across York Region through weekly programming designed to reduce isolation and strengthen community bonds.

The successful grant application was developed with the support of GTA Strategies, whose expertise in government funding and community engagement played a key role in securing provincial investment.

“I congratulate the Toronto Cultural Mingle Association on securing this important grant,” said Jim Karygiannis. “This funding will make a real difference in bringing generations together, strengthening cultural ties, and enhancing the well-being of seniors and youth alike. I also commend GTA Strategies for their strong advocacy and professionalism in helping community organizations access critical government support.”

The grant will help offset staffing, facility, and equipment costs, enabling TCMA to expand its reach to more than 200 participants while fostering meaningful intergenerational connections.
