Maj (ret’d) Corneliu Chisu

Major (ret’d) Chisu is a graduate of Electrical Engineering (B.Eng. Polytechnic University of Bucharest, M.Eng, University of Toronto) Engineering Physics Specialty and of the Militia Staff Course (PMSC) – Canadian Land Force Command and Staff College.

He began his military career in 1972, as an Air Defence Radar Operations officer in Romania. He joined the Canadian Forces as a reservist in May 1990. He was recognised as a respected mentor and he always enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with others. He demonstrated a superior performance on many career courses. His dedication and perseverance in serving in the Canadian forces led to a component transfer to the Regular Force in September 2003 from where he retired in 2009. He also served in the Cadet Corps from where he retired in 2014.
