Toronto<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Dear Friend:<\/p>

We are fast approaching the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America and his threat of the imposition of a 25% tariff on all Canadian goods entering the US.<\/p>

This move can send our economy on a tail spin and present all kind of difficulties to all sectors of the economy and especially to your industry.<\/p>

On January 15, 2025, our governments, federal, provincial and territorial, met and developed a strong, national response to the impending Trump tariff – no one region or sector will bear the brunt of a potential 25% tariff imposed by the United States.\u00a0<\/p>

As our governments work together to develop plans to meet this unprecedented challenge, GTA Strategies will continue to monitor the situation and advise you of any specific programs (grants, special measures)<\/u> which may be developed in order to assist your sector.<\/p>

Should you have any suggestions as to what and how things should be done and what your industry needs to face these tarrifs please let us know.<\/p>

We will also pass on, to the appropriate Ministers, your suggestions with respect to mitigating the effect of these tariffs.<\/p>
